THE BALLAD OF KING JAMES

Now!

A crack of thunder

embellished the King's decree

We shall no longer countenance dwellings

on frivolous memory

In the mist

he got to the gist

of his feelings presently

Time awaits no man

nor his remembrances of history

Let it be today

when thou shalt sway

to the ways of what should be

Yesterday is gone

just as the stirring of the breeze
